Avery was called to the Bar and joined Chambers in 2016. Prior to joining Chambers, Avery had obtained his LLB degree from the University of Nottingham and proceeded to complete postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford. He was awarded the Middle Temple Advocacy Scholarship in 2016.

Avery is currently developing a broad civil practice and has been involved in cases concerning corporate, insolvency, company, land, trusts and family matters. He has experience in appearing as an advocate in the Court of First Instance and the Family Court in his own right. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
