Common and Uncommon Disputes in Succession

Disputes over succession are as old as human history. But novel issues just never stop flooding in. This seminar will first go through common issues such as testamentary capacity, construction of will, removal of administrator and Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Cap 481. It will then go into uncommon topics such as succession under Chinese law and custom, including the validity of marriage and union of concubinage, as well as multi jurisdictional succession.
