Wu worked at Baker & McKenzie for six years, specialising in corporate finance. He is currently a legal consultant for Edward Lau, Wong & Lou.

Wu holds a PhD from Queen Mary, Univeristy of London, and was a visiting fellow of the Law Department of the City University of Hong Kong for four years. He has written books on both Main Board and GEM listings and contributed to the LexisNexis legal database (HKPG Corporate module – GEM) in the form of practice notes and precedents. He has also published books on the new Hong Kong Companies Ordinance, published by Butterworths.
