Registration Conditions

Registration Conditions (Last Updated: 19 March 2011)
Set out below are Registration Conditions for our regular CPD / CPT Courses, Executive Courses / Inhouse Conferences and Hotel Conferences.  For Series Course, other Registration Conditions would apply.

 

For CPD / CPT courses

  1. The course fee includes course materials, refreshments and certificate of attendance unless otherwise specified.
  2. To reserve your seat(s), please complete the registration online or complete the registration form and forward full payment of course fee either by cheque and mail to Courses & Seminars Limited, Rooms 201 & 203, 2/F, Prosperous Building, 48-52 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong or by direct transfer to our account at HSBC (102 – 437431 – 001).  For direct transfer into our account, please email the supporting bank document evidencing the direct deposit to us at registration@courses-seminars.com or fax the same to us at 2901-1332.
  3. Payment must be received at least 3 days before the course commences in order for you to attend the course.  Confirmations of bookings and receipts will only be issued by email upon evidence of our receipt of full payment.  If you have not received a confirmation of booking 48 hours prior to the commencement of the course, you should contact Courses & Seminars at 2901-1333 to confirm your place and / or arrange for payment of course fees; otherwise, your seat may be released to another delegate.
  4. Subject to paragraph 6, course fees are not refundable. Delegates who cannot attend a course must notify Courses & Seminars in writing at registration@courses-seminars.com at least 48 hours before the course commences.
    1. If the notification is received in writing at least 48 hours before the course commences, (a) where course fees have not been paid, the registration will be cancelled; and (b) where course fees have been paid, the fees paid can be applied toward another CPD / CPT course, executive course or inhouse conference during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month). Please note that you will need to register for the new course in the usual manner prior to attending the new course.
    2. If the notification is received less than 48 hours but not less than 3 hours before the course commences (a) where course fees have not been paid, then 50% of the course fees will remain payable and an invoice will be issued for such payment due; and (b) where course fees have been paid, the remaining fees (less 50% course fees as administration charge) can be applied towards another CPD / CPT course, executive course or inhouse conference during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month).  Please note that you will need to register for the new course in the usual manner prior to attending the new course.
    3. Alternatively, a replacement delegate within your organisation may attend the course without additional charge (Individual Discount Packages not applicable).
    4. If notification is not received in accordance with conditions above, full course fees will remain payable in full despite non attendance of the delegate and an invoice will be issued for the full course fee and such payment shall be due within 14 days of the date of invoice.
  5. Courses will be cancelled if the No.8 typhoon signal or black rainstorm warning is hoisted within 2 hours of the course or during the course.  In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, the course will be rescheduled and you may attend the course on the rescheduled date; or course fees may be applied towards another CPD / CPT course, executive course or inhouse Conference that has not yet commenced.  Course fees will not be refunded.
  6. Courses & Seminars reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any courses without any advance notice.  Rescheduling: If a course is rescheduled and you cannot attend the rescheduled course, then course fees will not be refunded but may be applied towards another CPD / CPT course, executive course or inhouse conference to be held during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month) of the original date of the course, and you or another person nominated by you may attend in your place.  Cancellation: If a course is cancelled (other than pursuant to paragraph 5), you may obtain a refund or apply such fees towards another CPD / CPT course, executive course or inhouse conference to be held during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month).
  7. Any bank charges and / or expenses incurred as a result of bounced cheques and / or wire transfers will be borne by the delegates.
  8. Courses & Seminars will not normally issue an invoice nor an official receipt for registration of a CPD / CPT course.  There will be an administration charge for Courses & Seminars to issue the following:an original invoice – HK$100; an official receipt – HK$100

 

For Executive Courses / Inhouse Conferences

  1. The executive course / conference fee includes networking lunch (if any), course materials, refreshments and certificate of attendance unless otherwise specified.
  2. To reserve your seat(s), please complete the registration online or complete the registration form and forward full payment of course fee either by cheque and mail to Courses & Seminars Limited, Rooms 201 & 203, 2/F, Prosperous Building, 48-52 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong or by direct transfer to our account at HSBC (102 – 437431 – 001).  For direct transfer into our account, please email the supporting bank document evidencing the direct deposit to us at registration@courses-seminars.com or fax the same to us at 2901-1332.
  3. We are not responsible for covering accommodation, airfare or other travel costs incurred by delegates.
  4. Payment must be received at least 3 days before the executive course / conference commences in order for you to attend the executive course / conference.  Confirmations of bookings and receipts will only be issued by email upon evidence of our receipt of full payment.  If you have not received a confirmation of booking 48 hours prior to the commencement of the executive course / conference, you should contact Courses & Seminars at 2901-1333 to confirm your place and / or arrange for payment of executive course / conference fees; otherwise, your seat may be released to another delegate.
  5. Except as provided for in this paragraph and in paragraph 8 executive course / conference fees are not refundable. Delegates who cannot attend an executive course / conference must notify Courses & Seminars in writing at registration@courses-seminars.com as follows:
    1. If notification is received by us in writing 7 days or more before the executive course / conference commences, (a) where course / conference fees have not been paid, then registration will be cancelled; and (b) where course / conference fees have been paid, the fees can be refunded upon request OR be applied towards another CPD/CPT course, executive course or inhouse conference during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month).  Please note that you will need to register for the new course / executive course / conference in the usual manner prior to attending the new course / executive course / conference.
    2. If notification is received between 2 – 6 days before the executive course / conference commences, then (a) where course / conference fees have not been paid, then 50% of the course / conference fees will remain payable and an invoice will be issued and payment will be due within 14 days of the date of invoice; and (b) where course / conference fees have been paid, the remaining fees (less 50% course / conference fees as administration charge) can be refunded OR applied towards another CPD / CPT course, executive course or inhouse conference during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month).  Please note that you will need to register for the new course / conference in the usual manner prior to attending the new course / conference.
    3. If notification is received less than 2 days or no notification is received before the executive course / conference commences, then (a) where course / conference fees have not been paid, the executive course / conference fees will remain payable in full despite non attendance of the delegate.  An invoice will be issued and payment will be due within 14 days of the date of invoice; and (b) where course / conference fees have been paid, no refund will be given. Alternatively, you may elect another person from your organization to attend in your place. Please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to make a substitution.
  6. We reserve the right to alter the contents of the executive course / conference and the identity of the presenters due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
  7. Executive courses / conferences will be cancelled if the No.8 typhoon signal or black rainstorm warning is hoisted within 2 hours of the executive course / conference or during the executive course / conference.  In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, the executive course / conference will be rescheduled and you may attend the rescheduled event or executive course / conference fees may be applied towards another executive course, inhouse conference or regular CPD / CPT course that has not yet commenced. Executive course / conference fees will not be refunded.
  8. Courses & Seminars reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any executive courses / conferences without any advance notice.  Rescheduling: If an executive course / conference is rescheduled and you cannot attend the rescheduled executive course / conference, then that executive course / conference fees will not be refunded but may be applied towards another executive course, inhouse conference or regular CPD / CPT course(s) to be held during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month), and you or another person nominated by you may attend in his / her place.  Cancellation: If an executive course / conference is cancelled (other than pursuant to paragraph 8), you may obtain a refund or transfer such fees to another executive course / inhouse conference or regular CPD / CPT course(s) to be held during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month).
  9. Any bank charges and / or expenses incurred as a result of bounced cheques and / or wire transfers will be borne by the delegates.
  10. Courses & Seminars will not normally issue an invoice nor an official receipt for registration of an executive course / inhouse conference.  There will be an administration charge for Courses & Seminars to issue the following: an original invoice – HK$100; an official receipt – HK$100.

* Please note that certain Registration Conditions listed above may not apply to our Executive Courses and / or Inhouse Conferences.  Please check details of our individual Executive Course / Inhouse Conference for variations and Special Conditions.  Where no Special Conditions for the individual Executive Course / Inhouse Conference are specified, the above General Conditions for Executive Courses / Conferences will apply.

If there are inconsistencies or conflicts between the General Conditions stated above and Special Conditions prescribed for an Executive Course / Inhouse Conference, the Special Conditions shall prevail.
For Hotel Conferences

  1. The conference fee includes tuition, programme materials, lunch, refreshments and certificate of attendance.
  2. To reserve your seat(s), please complete the registration online or complete the registration form and forward full payment of course fee either by cheque and mail to Courses & Seminars Limited, Rooms 201 & 203, 2/F, Prosperous Building, 48-52 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong or by direct transfer to our account at HSBC (102 – 437431 – 001).  For direct transfer into our account, please email the supporting bank document evidencing the direct deposit to us at registration@courses-seminars.com or fax the same to us at 2901-1332.

Payment must be received at least 7 days before the conference commences in order for you to attend the conference.  Confirmations of bookings and receipts will only be issued by email upon evidence of our receipt of full payment.   If you have not received a confirmation of booking 72 hours prior to the commencement of the conference, you should contact Courses & Seminars at 2901-1333 to confirm your place and / or arrange for payment of conference fees.
  5. Except as provided for in this paragraph and in paragraph 9, conference fees are not refundable.  Delegates who cannot attend the conference must notify Courses & Seminars in writing at registration@courses-seminars.com as follows:
    • If notification is received by us in writing 14 days or more before the conference commences, (a) where conference fees have not been paid, then registration will be cancelled subject to a HK$300 handling charge per delegate; and (b) where conference fees have been paid, the 100% of the fees can be refunded upon request (less HK$300 handling charge per delegate) OR be applied towards another CPD/CPT course, executive course or conference during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month).  Please note that you will need to register for the new course / executive course / conference in the usual manner prior to attending the new course / executive course / conference.
    • If notification is received between 7 – 13 days before the conference commences, then (a) where conference fees have not been paid, then 50% of the conference fees will remain payable and an invoice will be issued for such payment due; and (b) where conference fees have been paid, the 50% of the fees can be refunded OR be applied towards another CPD / CPT course, executive course or conference during the next 6 months (extended to the last day of that month).  Please note that you will need to register for the new course / executive course / conference in the usual manner prior to attending the new course / executive course / conference.
    • If notification is received less than 7 days or no notification is received before the conference commences, then (a) where conference fees have not been paid, the conference fees will remain payable in full despite non attendance of the delegate.  An invoice will be issued and payment will be due within 14 days of the date of invoice; and (b) where conference fees have been paid, no refund will be given.
    • If notification is not received in accordance with conditions above, conference fees will remain payable in full despite non attendance of the delegate. An invoice will be issued and payment will be due within 14 days of the date of invoice.

If there are discrepancies between the General Conditions stated above and Special Conditions prescribed for a Conference, the Special Conditions shall prevail.
