Kin Chan is the Managing Director and fund manager of Value
Partners Distressed Asset Fund. Prior to joining Value Partners,
Kin was Chief Executive and Managing Director of Lazard
Asia Limited from 2000 to 2001 and managed the firm's advisory
business in the non-Japan Asian region. Prior to joining
Lazard, Kin Chan was also an Executive Director at Goldman
Sachs in Hong Kong, New York and Singapore from 1992 to
1999. Kin has completed transactions in the PRC, Hong Kong,
India, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore and Thailand. The aggregate
transaction size of all the deals that Kin has worked on
exceeds US$10 billion. Kin has built strong relationships
with a large number of relevant businesspeople and organizations
in many Asian countries throughout the years. He has also
developed an intimate understanding of how business is conducted
in these countries.
Kin obtained a BA from Princeton University and an MBA
from Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

Henry Lee is the Managing Director of Hendale Asset Management
Ltd., a fund management and corporate advisory firm under
Hendale Group Ltd. which he founded in 1996. He is respected

Director, AIMA and Chairman of the conference
Florence Lombard has been running AIMA since January 1993.
She is responsible for the day-to-day management, as well
as the development and implementation of projects in the
areas of education, research and regulation. She is also
in charge of the development of the Association in Asia,
which has lead to the creation of the Hong Kong/China, Australia
and Japan Chapters of AIMA. She
was a founding member of AIMA created in September 1990
in her capacity of European Marketing Manager for the
Managed Funds Division of Elders Finance Group. She also
held a similar position with Man Investment Products in
1991 and 1992. As such she has been involved in the development
and marketing of alternative investment funds in Europe
since the late 1980s.
She
was appointed to the Council of the Association in August

Sandra Mak is the Associate Director of the Investment Products
Department of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
The Investment Products Department regulates the public
marketing of collective investments, including hedge funds.
Sandra has been with the SFC since 1993. Apart
from supervising her team of managers in processing fund
applications, Sandra takes an active part in policy-making
in respect of collective investments. She is the Secretary
for the Committee on Unit Trusts since 1997.
She
also participates in international policy works, such
as the work of IOSCO (International Organization of Securities
Commissions) Working Party 5 on Investment Management
and the Enlarged Contact Group. Prior to joining the SFC,
she worked in the private sector with Citicorp and Standard
Chartered Bank. |

Joanne Murphy's role is to expand the key part that Bank
of Bermuda already plays in the Asian hedge fund arena,

to joining Bank of Bermuda, Jo was the General Manager
for ratings agency RCP and Partners' Hong Kong office,

Partners,. whose Hong Kong operation she headed up for
two years. Jo was previously withworked for Morgan Stanley
in Europe and Hong Kong in a number of roles between 1991

David Seex is Managing Director and Head of Citigroup Alternative
Investments in Asia. He is also a member of Citigroup Alternative
Investments Strategic Planning Group. David is based in
Hong Kong and manages teams in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore
responsible for marketing alternative investment solutions
to Citigroup's clients in the region. CAI has $60 billion
in alternative assets under management, of which $4.5 billion
is in Hedge Funds Prior
to assuming his current role in early 2001, David was
Head of Citibank's Restructuring Advisory practice in
Asia. In this role he ran a team which provided advice
to borrowers in financial distress, and to investors considering
acquisition of distressed assets. The business established
a leading position in the Asian market advising on a number
of headline transactions.
David
first joined Citibank in 1989 as part its leveraged finance
business. Based in London, he was involved in structuring
and arranging debt finance for leveraged buyouts in Europe.
David

Derek Sicklen, a Vice President of J.P. Morgan Alternative

Group for Asia and is responsible for the business development,

responsibility for product management and manager sourcing
in the Asian region. Prior
to joining J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management in
April 2001, Derek was Head of Asian Futures for Jardine
Fleming for three yeas, where he was establishing an alternative
asset management business. Prior to this he was Managing
Director of Australian Economic Analysis based in Sydney
and before this Derek was Director of Marketing and Product
Development with Ord Minnett Jardine Fleming Futures,
based in Sydney.

Managing
Director, Morgan Stanley
David Sutherland is a managing director with Morgan Stanley,
and has responsibility for MS's tax affairs in Asia. Prior
to coming to Asia, David worked for the U.S. Department
of Treasury where he was the Associate International Tax
Counsel. In that job, he represented the U.S. Department
regarding tax issues with most countries in Asia, including
successful tax treaty negotiations with Thailand and Indonesia.
Earlier in his career, he worked for Arthur Anderson; Cadwalder,
Wickersham & Taft; and Caplin & Drysdale.
David
was appointed Chairman of the Taxation Committee of the
American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong in the summer
of 1999 and was Chair of the Capital Markets Tax Committee
in Hong Kong from 2001 to 2002. He is a member of the
Joint Liaison Committee on Taxation that advises the Hong
Kong Inland Revenue Department on matters of tax administration.
David
earned a law degree from the University of Virginia, a
Masters of Taxation from American University, and a Bachelor
of Science from the University of Louisville. He was the
national intercollegiate debate champion in the United
